Physical and Chemical Properties

Sodium dichloroisocyanurate, often abbreviated as NaDCC or SDIC, is a compound used as a disinfectant, bactericide, algaecide, industrial deodorant and detergent, and is a colourless, water-soluble solid. Effective chlorine 61%. Soluble in water (pH 5.5-6.5).

Application

1. It is mainly used as a disinfectant, biocideand industrial deodorant.
2. It can be used for disinfection and environmental sterilization, for example in livestock, poultry, fish and silkwormraising, for bleaching textiles, for cleaning industrial circulating water, and to prevent wool from shrinking.

Storage

Sodium dichloroisocyanurate should be stored in a dry, cool and well ventilated warehouse, avoiding direct sunlight or moisture.
